The
perfect summer cottage vacation for your family
Planned Activities We offer a weekly
scavenger hunt for kids (with free ice cream for
participants) and on Monday nights we host a campfire, a
great way to start off your holiday week.
Swimming & Water Fun
Swimming in Clear Lake is a truly memorable
experience as the water is indeed crystal clear.
Algonquin Woods is situated on a quiet bay away from
passing boat traffic. Our swimming area has been
described as “one of the best in Muskoka” with the
perfect combination of crystal clear water, north facing
(so we get the late afternoon sun!) and a clean sandy
bottom. Shallow at the shore, perfect for toddlers, yet
it also becomes deep enough so the adults can enjoy a
dip as well.
We have a
variety of water craft available for use,
including:

▪
paddle
boats, canoe, kayaks & rowboats (all free for guests)
▪ surf bikes & boats with motors (for hire at a
nominal fee) ▪ assortment of children's beach
toys
Playground & Games A children’s playground right
at the beach (swings, slide, sand, buckets & shovels) so
you can always see what your kids are up to and a wide
variety of activities available for all, including:

▪ a sand volleyball / badminton court (equipment
supplied)
▪ horseshoe pits ▪ shuffleboard court
▪ table tennis table (under cover)
▪ bocce, board games & magazines (borrow from the office)
Fishing

Fishing in Clear Lake can be a fun experience for those
who know
where to cast their line. Smallmouth Bass are
frequent catches for many of our guests and there is
Rainbow Trout.
During the
summer months, we sell worms and ice for your
convenience.
Campfire
Our
campfire is situated right on the beach. Guests are
welcome to light the communal campfire any night they
wish after 6 pm. (fire regulations) Firewood is
provided free of charge.
